Wisconsin Weekend Retreat to Palmquist Farm.  May 15-17, 2020

Have you ever wanted to go on a yoga retreat, but find them to be too long, too expensive, or too far away? We've been listening, and now have something for you. Nestled in North Central Wisconsin is Palmquist Farm (www.palmquistfarm.com). The Palmquist's have been charming people with their Finnish hospitality for over 110 years! Palmquist Farm is known for its cozy and comfortable cabins, home-cooked meals, and beautiful trails. It was "log cabin chic" before that was even a thing. Private or shared rooms are available; simply indicate your desire. If you are sharing, you can choose from a room with one queen-sized bed, two single beds, or a combination of all 3.

The cabins are spacious with shared living rooms and gathering areas that include a fireplace/wood-burning stove, and at least one full bathroom (with tub/shower). Note that the bathrooms are shared among all guests staying in that cabin.

Palmquist Farm is on 800 private acres of forest and farmland. The property includes hiking and mountain biking trails, lakes, a pond, and streams to explore.

Got a little chill that not even the fire place can warm up? Then, jump into the Finnish Sauna building, and let yourself melt.

The retreat will include a pre-yoga nibble of yogurt, fruit, and coffee, post-yoga farm breakfast and hearty dinner. Jim and Helen Palmquist are well-known for their abundant and delicious home-cooked meals prepared with love onsite at the farm. Meals will be mostly vegetarian with possible farm-raised meat options. A refrigerator and microwave is provided in each cabin. Gluten-free options will be made available upon request. (Please note that all meals are prepared in the same kitchen.)

Yoga will be in one of the beautiful log-built farm buildings on the property, with lots of windows for the morning sunshine to stream in. We will have a 75-minute morning yoga class and a 30-minute gentle stretch and meditation class in the evening.

$458* per person for a private room in a family-style cabin. Each cabin includes one or more full bathrooms. Check out the accommodations on the Palmquist Farm website; they are lovely! (
